This classic, by Rose Berenbaum Levy, is a classic that i have had with me since I stareted baking. Her recipes are "real", meaning if you follow them to the "t", you will get great results. Her directions are VERY thorough, and for our society of today who wants quick answers, this might not be the book for you but if you are a serious baker, you will read this cookbook like a book, curled ulp on the couch.
